Description
The Normandy had docked on the Citadel for a short leave. The crew always enjoyed being able to get out and stretch their legs. And of course, Shepard enjoyed shopping around for new gear and miscellaneous products. However; Commander Shepard received an overwhelming amount of messages from her comrades, each asking to come see them when the ship docked next. Kaidan wanted a date, Garrus wanted to go out shooting, and even Jack wanted to meet up. Shepard traveled up to the specified area - a small apartment that over looked the Presidium Commons. From this height, she could see Kaidan at Apollo's Cafe - Liara gazing across the reservoir - Joker and EDI shopping at Nos Astra Sporting Goods. Before she could dwell any longer, the door to her right spun open. Jack - in all her tattooed glory - strode in with a cocky grin. "Hey, Shepard," she said, clapping a hand across the commander's back, "How you doing?"
Shepard laughed weakly. "Eh, I'm alright, Jack," she turned to meet the other's chestnut-colored eyes, "What about you?" For a long moment, they exchanged gazes. The tattooed biotic seemed to search Shepard's blue eyes for something, yet nothing in particular. The commander's brows furrowed in response. "Jack, are you feeling all right?"
Jack quickly snapped from her trance-like state. "Yeah! Yeah, I'm fine." She sputtered, ducking her eyes from Shepard and turning her attention to the window. As her stare drifted over Lieutenant Alenko, her nose wrinkled. "He waiting for you?" She questioned, tapping over his figure on the cool glass.
"Yeah," the black-haired female answered, shifting her gaze down to the table Kaidan was seated at. A long silence filled the apartment as both biotics watched intently, until Jack spoke:
"He's lucky, you know."
Stunned, the commander turned to meet her comrade's eyes. "What?"
"Kaidan," Jack replied, "he's lucky."
Shepard processed the comment for a moment. "I'd hardly call him 'lucky'," she answered at last, "He's got the L2 implant and he's-"
"No, Shepard," The other female interrupted - her brown eyes sharp like daggers. "I'm not talking about his implant." Jack let out a heavy sigh, scratching at her temple. The words were on the tip of her tongue, but she didn't want to say them. The commander's eyebrows began to rise as Jack reluctantly met her eyes. With another heavier, more agitated sigh, she spun her back to Shepard and said: "I mean he's lucky to have you."
The other female blinked slowly, attempting to sort out the comment. "...Wait, Jack. You mean-" Before she could say any more, Jack had thrown herself at Shepard. Her lips fiercely collided with the commander's - releasing a years worth of pent-up desire. Shepard was utterly shocked, and as Jack finally pulled away, her tongue swept over her cherry lips.
"Next time, don't act so surprised."
